Hi Steve, thanks for your input!! I realize that for the sake of Adventure Journal you have to be a little more objective and offer a black and white response- especially when its in the form of a poll. Otherwise you wouldn't get any worthwhile results! And for people who are truly passionate about only one sport- the black and white response might hold major weight with them. But of course, it is a unique topic and I couldn't help but voice my opinion. As you said, that's what the comments are for- the subtleties.

Thanks again for your response! I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future. My husband and I are big fans of AJ!

So glad you found the poll through-provoking. But I would suggest that omitting a third option is not a mistake. The fact is, most of the issues we're tackling through the poll are rarely black and white, yes or no, but it's impossible to list all the other possibilities. Also, in my opinion, "both" is a copout. It's better to force the difficult choice for the sake of the poll results. But then we have the comments to tackle the subtleties and complexities of the question at hand.

I've been down the allergy road as well; it seems like I can't eat, or drink, anything. Luckily, I've found several places that I eat things, and it has worked out for me. Great post and I look forward to sharing more with you:))

Thanks for your well written post, really loved it. Steve Jobs said that in addition what's required is a little bit of insanity - because you need to keep going where every one else would say: oh well, this doesn't make sense anymore, let's stop. He claims that this is how exceptional people are made. They're just a little bit less sane than the "normal, average" person :)

I know what you mean - is the glass half full or half empty? As with yoga teachers, I really appreciate ANY class because I learn from other teachers what I can do (or won't do) in my own classes :)
